It’s not easy being in the public eye, and if there is any celebrity that knows that, it’s Lindsay Lohan. The troubled actress has been in and out of rehab for the past few years. Most recently, she checked into the Betty Ford Clinic in Rancho Mirage, California.
Lohan reportedly entered the facility on Thursday night after reports began circulating that she was dodging her commitment. Her representative told People Magazine that she is going to be staying there for three months.
At first, the judge sentenced her to spend her 90 days at Morningside Recovery, but that all changed after Lohan felt that the facility was not a good match for her.
“She needs rehab and the whole world knows it,” a source tells told the magazine. “And she showed up [at Morningside Recovery] in the morning and hated it. She thought the facilities are gross. She is interested in going back to Betty Ford because she knows everyone there.”
This will be Lohan’s fifth stay in a residential treatment program. The last time she was a patient at Betty Ford was in 2010. Unfortunately, the Hollywood starlet did not make headlines for her good behavior, but rather the opposite. She was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with a nurse who detected alcohol on the actress’ breath.
Lohan’s stint in rehab is part of the plea deal that was reached in March. She’ll also have to perform community service and attend therapy sessions.
There is no doubt that that in-patient treatment will not just be difficult for Lohan, but will prove to be a rollercoaster for her family as well.
